Rock Band 2 For XBOX 360 Review by Scott Boehler

Rock Band 2 is the best sequel to a music game so far. With a set list of over 84 songs and hundreds of songs available on the Xbox Live Marketplace, this game is a must buy for fans of this genre. There are many new features in Rock Band 2 that it’s predecessor did not have.

One of the many new features in this game is the new reinvented World Tour mode. It has changed from an only multi-player mode to now a single player mode as well. Another exciting new feature is the Battle of the Bands mode which allows you to compete in different challenges to be put onto the leaderboards. New challenges are added almost everyday so you never run out of things to do. Other than the Battle of the Bands mode, there is another challenge mode that you can access from the Tour menu. These challenges are basically for people that beat the game and want to play something other than quickplay or want to rack up some more achievement points. Also,

depending on what songs you’ve downloaded from the marketplace, there are new challenges that might pop up once and awhile. Aside from all of the new challenge type modes, there is a new drum trainer mode in the tutorials menu. The drum trainer provides players with many drum beats or fill-ins to practice with. This includes a beats per minute (BPM) counter on the side that you can raise or lower depending on how fast you want the speed of the notes to go. There is also a freestyle mode in the drum trainer that makes it seem like you are really playing the drums. Players can also make drums beats while listening to a song by plugging in an mp3 player or connecting to their computers.

Well, as you can tell, there are many new features that make this game equal or even better than the first one. I hope this review makes you want to run out and grab this one for the holidays.ly mixed and serve.

Warcraft "the burning crusade" free for download

Blizzard offers to the hardcore gamers a free download of World of Warcraft The Burning Crusade (expansion) and World of Warcraft the Original. It is legally announced on their website. According to them, all gamers can download it and try for ten (10) days. Screenshots and Video Demo or what they call Game Teaser are also available for download.

Since they release a FREE Trial version of this game, the hacker or what we call computer geniuses could possibly crack this version to make if FULL version game. Who knows, when I’m creating this article the crack version might already out there to the cracks farm.

PSP: Custom firmware update 4.01 M33-2 AVAILABLE FOR DOWNLOAD

We’ve only just reported on the 1.50 kernel add-on for CFW 4.01 M33, and now Dark AleX has let loose an update for Team M33’s latest custom PSP firmware.

The 4.01 M33-2 update, the version is released to fixed known bugs like:

Nids resolver: Fixed scePowerGetCpuClockFrequency issue. This is the same bug that happened in 3.80 M33-1, on Version 4.01 M33-2 this problem is totally eliminated

Fixes recovery problems that have appeared in prior version (incorrect position of back string in language others than English, enable, and disabled strings not translated in plugins, hide pic0 pic1 couldn’t be changed, language file in flash1 was not working..
Spanish recovery translation typos fixed.

The download link is provided below. You can also upgrade to 4.01 M33-2 from CFW 4.01 M33’s Network Update function. You can never be too careful, so make sure that you know what you’re doing before running this update. Don’t forget to read the readme.

The Mummy is one of the best occult action flick when it was released a decade ago and til today, it remained a great franchise that spawned two sequels, the latest being the upcoming The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor. Vivendi Games and Sierra Entertainment are counting on the popularity of this movie to make the accompanying Wii game a success.

Tomb of the Emperor sees Brendan Fraser reprise his role as Rick O’Connell and this time his adventures transport him and his family to ancient China where his son Alex unknowingly brought Emperor Qin (played by a convincing Jet Li from Romeo Must Die) back from the dead. Players will basically take turns to control different lead characters in a bid to put the Emperor and his terra cotta warriors back into eternal slumber.

This hack-and-slash game will see players taking control of the Wiimote and Nunchuk to battle the ancient Chinese army. Not only that, the game developers revealed that there will be fast and furious hand-to-hand combat as well as exciting gunplay. Besides thrilling combat, players will also need to solve puzzles in order to unlock mysterious chambers and collect hidden treasure in order to advance through the game. I was most amused to hear that a three-headed Gorgon will be one of the bosses you’ll fight in the game, though for the life of me I cannot imagine how this mythical monster fits in with ancient Chinese history. There’s also a little hieroglyphic coding to complete but again, I am not certain how this is relevant in the storyline.

Overall, I think this game is worth playing simply for its entertainment value. Not to mention, we get to kill Jet Li the baddie!

Lego indiana jones: the original psp game

What do you get when you cross a whip, a fedora and some Lego blocks? The new Lego Indiana Jones game of course! The Lego Indiana Jones: the Original Adventures is set to be released on the PSP as well as other handheld platforms like the Nintendo DS as well the XBOX 360 and PS3. LucasArts is banking on the hype generated from the upcoming Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull movie in hope of making this game a success.

Like its Star Wars predecessor, Lego Indiana Jones will feature a myriad of familiar characters done in blocky Lego form. I find this very appealing and charming as I have fond memories of enjoying Lego-play when I was a child, so why shouldn’t I do the same for Lego video games now that I’m an adult? I expect to see witty dialogues and cheesy humor in this game and I wasn’t disappointed. Lego Indiana Jones for the PSP follows Indy’s adventures throughout the first three films from the franchise: Raiders of the Lost Ark, Temple of Doom and the Last Crusade.

If you wander around Indy’s Barnett College, you’ll find that LucasArts has developed this game nicely and inserted good details strewn all over the game. You can access various rooms in the college and gain a barrage of goodies that come in the form of exclusive cutscenes and unlockable characters once you earn enough in-game tokens. Like the original Lego Star Wars games, Indy will be able to hop on virtually any mode of transportation in the game. I’m looking forward to seeing Indy ride on an elephant in true Lego style, blocky trunks and all!
